Bożena Franieczek

Bożena Franieczek has always sought out beauty in everyday life during her many travels to scenic places as well as in the unsuspecting spaces whose beauty reveals itself only after perceptive observation.

She brings us fresh interpretations of familiar scenes of beauty, many of which may seem inaccessible in the technologically oversaturated reality of the twenty-first century, through the prism of her personal perceptions and interpretations.

Bożena began her artistic pursuits soon after finishing her studies at Wroclaw Medical University. Since then, she has endlessly and enthusiastically pursued her growth as an artist. She also graduated with a Diploma with Honours in Art Disciplines in Architecture with a specialisation in painting from the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts. In her artistic endeavours, she has worked in Prof. Leszek Mickos's atelier and as an apprentice of
Dr. Hab. Anna Maria Kramm.

With regards to subject matter, she is an experimental artist and she enjoys working with a variety of artistic mediums. Her work varies in format, from intriguing miniatures to ambitious large-scale pieces. Bożena enjoys incorporating elements of sculpture into her work, often adding touches of ceramic and glass to her canvases. Although she paints with many bright and exciting hues, she often gravitates towards aesthetically pleasing and serene monochromes. The artist's works can be found in YAM Gallery in Zakopane, Poland and in private collections in Austria, France, Japan, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, and USA.

Since 2009, the artist had several individual and group exhibitions . The long list includes exhibitions which followed after different competitions, such as namely: `Passion', 'Empathy', `Clou of the Art',

The buttons used in the works are of various types such as: wooden, plastic, horn, pearl, metal, glass, engraved, brand new and antique; hiding mysterious past and fascinating stories. Her art has been presented on many exhibitions in Wrocław, Illinois in Orland Park Chicago and in Naples (Florida). Moreover, all buttons are hand sewn and the works are signed by the artist.

Małgorzata Górska

Though she is a graduate of Wroclaw University, Malgorzata Gorska never pursued her chosen career path in zoology. Instead she followed her lifelong passion for textiles and art, inspired by her discovery of patchworks as a teenager. Throughout the 1980s, when it was hard to find quality fabrics, Malgorzata began scouring local secondhand clothing shops to find materials for her work. She soon began gravitating to collecting scraps of silk in a wide range of colors. From then on, her needle and thread have served as her paintbrush. Malgorzata’s love of patchwork quickly manifested itself into compositions that mimicked the fluidity of color reminiscent of paintings rather than tapestries. Over the years, she perfected a method of linking tiny silk pieces so seamlessly they did indeed resemble strokes of paint. With this perfected sewing method she was able to add elements of dimension, perspective, and light in a way seldom seen in traditional patchworks and tapestries. In her work, Artist gravitates to miniatures, especially portraits of women and angels. The diverse spectrum of colors and textures of her materials make each piece not only unique in its imagery, but also its makeup. In addition to miniature landscapes and angels, Malgorzata’s nimble fingers also weave together monochromatic cityscapes in various formats. We invite you to discover Maglorzata’s chosen pieces on our site and discover for yourself how she paints with silk, rather than on silk.

Bożena Franieczek

Artist

“The love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art.”

The work of Bożena Franieczek can best be described with this quote from the renowned American poet and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson.

The artist always sought out beauty in everyday life throughout her many travels to scenic vistas, as well as in the unsuspecting spaces whose beauty reveals itself only after careful observation and perceptive consideration. Bożena shares all of these experiences with us in her distinctive and honest artistic style. She brings us fresh interpretations of familiar scenes of beauty, many of which may seem inaccessible in the technologically oversaturated reality of the 21st century, through the prism of her personal perceptions and interpretations.

Bożena began her artistic pursuits after finishing her studies at the Wrocław Medical University. Since then, she has endlessly and enthusiastically pursued her artistic development. She is an experimental artist with regards to subject matter, and she prefers working in a variety of artistic mediums. Her work varies in format, from intriguing miniatures to ambitious large-scale pieces. Bożena enjoys incorporating elements of sculpture into her work, often adding touches of ceramic and glass to her canvases. Though she paints with many bright and exciting hues, she often gravitates towards aesthetically pleasing and serene monochromes. The artist is tireless in her pursuit of beauty in its many forms. We invite you to discover some of her interpretations on this site.
